Your baby should kick more than ten times per two-hour period. If she is less active, let your health care provider know right away!
Week 36 - Day 2
Strengthen your pelvic floor muscles with Kegel exercises! For this, contract the muscles as if stopping the flow of urine. A healthy pelvic floor will heal more quickly after birth and prevent incontinence in the years to come.
Week 36 - Day 3
Swimming or just floating in water can relieve pain and swelling. Schedule regular pool time or cool bubble baths!
Week 36 - Day 4
Stretch marks cannot be prevented with creams. However, there are cosmetic procedures to treat stretch marks after the birth of your baby. Worry about that later!
Week 36 - Day 5
You may experience leakage of urine, especially when you laugh or pick up an older child. This usually stops after the birth of your baby. Continue with your Kegel exercises!
Week 36 - Day 6
Nesting is one of the tell-tale signs of impending delivery. If you suddenly feel a surge of energy and can’t stop preparing for the baby, make sure your birthing bag is ready to go!
Week 36 - Day 7
Pack your birthing bag! Essentials for your baby include a set of clothes and a blanket. Essentials for you are a nursing bra (if you are nursing) or sports bra (to bind your breasts, if you are not nursing), a hair tie for labor, and toiletries. Don’t forget your birth plan!8
